Wildcat BBQ Competition Cooking Team

Introduction

Our adventures in bbq began officially in 2002 at the inaugural Madison, IN Ribberfest.  We built our first smoker and competed in the backyard bbq division (amateur) against 25 other teams.  We placed first in Brisket and 3rd in Pork.  We were hooked.  Our plans immediately included competing at the professional level in 2003 at Ribberfest. 

Since then we have made significant changes to our equipment...we have retired our homemade cooker and advanced to a top of the Austin National Smoker.  We have a 4ft model and really put it through the paces.  Last year we competed in three sanctioned competitions. In 2004 we are planning on competing in 5 competitions with a hope to be in the running for the top 25 in the National Team of the Year standings.
